Teach First / SCITT at BCCET
Teach First Partnership

School-centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)

We partner with Teach First to deliver high-impact teacher training and CPD. Based across East Durham, South Tyneside and Sunderland, our 31 schools (5 secondary, 26 primary) welcome committed trainees of all faiths and beliefs who align with our values.

SCITT at BCCET is highly practical from day one: you’ll be embedded in school life, supported daily by a dedicated mentor (one trainee per mentor), and guided by a Lead Mentor and Course Lead. Most trainees secure roles within our Trust and continue into ECT years with full support.
